A Natural Approach to Healing
The therapists at Holistic Health treat you as a whole person rather than a list of symptoms or disease labels. We recognise that well-being incorporates physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual aspects, and they are all interconnected. The emphasis is on balance and preventative care.
Massage is the oldest of all healing arts. It is a natural non-invasive technique that promotes health by supporting the body's own healing processes.
We trained with the Wellington School of Massage Therapy. Cherry has a New Zealand Diploma in Health Science, Diploma in Trigger Point Therapy, is a Certified Trauma Informed Coach, a Certified Homeobotanical Practitioner and currently studies naturopathy and nutrition with the Naturopathic College of New Zealand. Don currently studies rongoā māori with Te Wānanga o Raukawa.
We offer a range of health and well-being services to clients based from a home-based clinic in Trentham, Upper Hutt.
Cherry and Don are experienced therapists with a holistic approach to well-being. We believe in the body's amazing ability to heal itself with the help of nutrition, movement, herbal energy and bodywork.
HEALTH TREATMENTS
Massage therapy - relaxation, hot stone, pregnancy and postpartum, remedial, deep tissue, sports, as well as trigger point therapy and myofascial release.
Rongoā - traditional Māori healing to rebalance and restore with Mirimiri.
Homeobotanical therapy - a safe and gentle modality for clients using botanical extracts that are prepared along homeopathic principles.
Angelic Reiki healing - merges traditional Reiki with Angelic energy to nurture spiritual healing. Sessions are available with Cherry.
Reflexology - gentle pressure, with intention, to reflex points.
DEEP TISSUE TREATMENT
Reduce tight dense tissue specifically in the areas of most need. Treatments can significantly improve acute and chronic pain and discomfort. Deep tissue treatment always starts with gentle strokes to warm the tissue, before getting into deeper work and is finished with flowing strokes to flush the area afterwards. It improves well-being, range of motion and health.
REFLEXOLOGY
Gentle pressure with intention to reflex points to stimulate different organs and body systems. Reflexology sessions are super relaxing and improve emotional well-being.
HOMEOBOTANICAL THERAPY
Homeobotanical (Hb) formulas are botanical extracts that are prepared along Homeopathic principles.
This dynamic protocol combines both herbal and homeopathic therapeutic indications which, when combined, gives the benefits of both systems.
Homeobotanical formulas are a mix-and-match system of natural medicines that may be combined in any proportion to match the precise and individual needs of every client.
Homeobotanical formulas encourage depuration of toxins and this process releases the natural healing energy of the body. Homeobotanicals encourage restoration and recovery of damaged tissues.
Homeobotanical concentrates are a Practitioner Only Range, and as such require a consultation before being prescribed and dispensed.
WHAT TO EXPECT ...
During your first session a full and accurate client history consultation occurs, including a discussion regarding informed consent. Please allow an additional 20 minutes for your first session. Please advise of any changes to your physical or mental health, that may impact future treatment sessions, as and when is necessary.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Respecting the boundaries of the professional therapeutic relationship includes punctuality. Please arrive on time for your session.
24 hours notice is appreciated for any rescheduling. Cancellations of less than 24 hours notice incur a charge for the missed appointment. All services offered are non-sexual.
